Claim to Fame – Grew up during the Golden Age of bodyboarding, influenced by some of the most unique and respected riders in the world. Mentored by major figures from the first generation of North Beach bodyboarding, and later part of the second generation that established a worldwide footprint for South African bodyboarding. This era included icons such as André Botha, Billy Thiel, the Cockwells brothers, and many others. Experienced several defining moments in the sport, including a memorable sunset session during the 1991 SA Champs alongside Frans Olivier, the Cockwells, Billy Thiel, and Alistair Taylor, and witnessing Tom Curren ride his first wave at Jeffreys Bay.
